Downloads

The server's torrent client: what it keeps, how to queue, seed and limit, and direct downloads.

The server keeps everything it downloads, as a torrent client does. Open Downloads on the dashboard.

The list

Each download shows its state (downloading, seeding, paused, queued, completed), its progress, speeds and peers. Select one for its details: General, Files (with a priority for each), Peers, Trackers, Pieces and Speed.

What you can do

  • Add torrent: paste a magnet link or upload a .torrent file.
  • Pause, resume, force start, and move items up or down the queue.
  • Set a seeding goal (a ratio or a time) and speed limits, for the server or per download.
  • Add or remove trackers, reannounce, recheck the pieces, and export the .torrent.
  • Pause all downloads with one switch.

Kept, never lost

A torrent that a screen played stays as a download. Leaving the player pauses it, 30 seconds after the last screen lets go; nothing is deleted unless you remove it.

Direct downloads

Search accepts a link: paste the address of a page or a video and the server lists what it holds (videos, playlists, magnet links, .torrent files) and downloads over HTTP, resuming where it stopped.

Engines

The built-in engine is torrent-stream. Settings › Downloads offers two optional engines, rqbit and Playpex’s own torrentd, installed from there; choose one and restart the server.

Downloading copyrighted content may be illegal where you live: you are responsible for what you add.
